Tulsa's PC Doctor (TPCD, LLC)
has been growing in leaps and bounds! In the last few months
we've pumped a lot of funding into making our service company
the BEST IN THE BUSINESS:
- Our service van is now equipped
with a GPS/mapping system, as well as a laptop computer. This
insures that ANY of our personnel can find you, and they'll have
access to the internet.
- Our phones are now answered
24 hours/day, 7 days/week! No matter when you call, you'll ALWAYS
hear a REAL person on the other end, ready to help.
- We've invested heavily in testing
equipment, from network testing devices to the best SDRAM testers
money can buy... and the list goes on. Rest assured that we have
right stuff to fix your PC.
- Unfortunately we've been forced
to raise our trip fee to $1.50/mile due to higher gas prices.
Yet this is still very competitive pricing, and you get some
of the best service in town.
Epilogue: The Y2K Scare
Now that it's over, we'd like
to take this opportunity to CROW a little. WE WERE RIGHT... the
media blew it all out of proportion. In fact, the number of Y2K
glitches that occurred over the last three months were surprisingly
few and far between. The press had to search REALLY hard to come
up with ANYTHING to report. Here at TPCD, not a single client
had a problem.
We love it when we're right.

Y2K Update
Will everone PLEASE REMAIN CALM?!
In light of recent stories we've heard, and some mass email we've
seen...we'd like to make a plea to the general public.
Just take a deep breath, and
don't worry. It seems that the PANIC
may be the biggest problem that we may face regarding the upcoming
millenium. People are doing very strange things, like stockpiling
supplies and hoarding precious metals/cash. This is WAYYYY too
much, and the media should step in and correct their mistake.
They are causing widespread fear that is unjustified. Yes, there
may be a few minor glitches encountered. Yes, blunders will need
to be ironed out BUT for the most part all institutions are ON
IT. From goverment offices to hospitals, banks to power companies...America's
best and brightest are dealing with the problem. So have a little
faith, and if you have a computer, take the steps to see that
YOUR stuff is Y2K-compliant. (See article below)

Y2K issues
The year 2000 looms ever closer.
We've gotten quite a few inquiries regarding the big Y2K scare,
and wanted to clear a few things up. First of all, it will not
mean the end of the world as we know it. The media has overblown
the story. However, there is some cause for concern. Those of
you who are running systems or software that predate 1996 should
check your machine and the programs that you run to make sure
they can handle a 4 digit date format. There are some software
packages available to do this. Or, we would be happy to do it
for you! We handle complete Y2K compliance testing and patching
for all IBM-compatible PC's. We offer Business Y2K Hardware Certification,
as well as software testing. For more information visit our Y2K page.
We're Certified!
TPCD is an A+ certified business.
This means that we have passed the exams and earned professional
membership as a computer service company. For more information
about A+ certification, see the CompTIA home page, or call you local Sylvan
Prometric test center.
Product Lines
TPCD continues to leverage more
buying power for you, our customers. We are currently able
to offer a complete line of personal computer products, upgrades,
systems, and peripherals for the same price as our top competitors.
Combine that with our top-quality service, and you've got a real
winner! Prices move so fast that we handle bids on
a case-by-case basis. Give us a call, then compare. We're
confident you'll like what you see, and return to us.
Yes but...what about power?
No worries! As part of our
commitment to service, we offer power solutions for whatever
backup needs you may have. For example, if the "brain"
of your home is critical for something such as security, we install
and maintain a full backup power solution that will guarantee
your signal reaches the right people. Then again, you might
just need a simple 5 minute warning to shut down in case of power
outages. There is a wide range of possibilities, from stand-alone
generators to battery banks, we'll find a solution to fit your
needs (and your pocketbook).
